Keigo Oyamada, who was in charge of composing the music for the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympic Games, has informed officials of his intention to resign.
“Oyamada confessed to two magazines that he bullied during his school days. In the January 1994 issue of the Japanese music magazine “Rocking On Japan,” he wrote, “I would make him naked, wrap a string around him, and make him masturbate.”
The number of victims makes the attack one of Japan’s biggest-ever mass murders. This suspect’s motive as well as his mental competency are expected to be the focus of his trial.

I’d make them eat shit.” In the August ’95 issue of the subculture magazine “Quick Japan,” he revealed without any guilt the many ways in which he bullied Mr. A and Mr. B, both of whom have disabilities.
The booklet, ‘ForFathers’, was produced by the Association to Support the Future of Parents and Children, a non-profit organisation made up of doctors and parents of children with disabilities.
“It would be nice to have at least some spectators” when the Paralympics are held from Aug. 24 to Sept. 5, Suga said, adding the decision will be made among organizers including his government, the Japanese organizing committee and the International Paralympic Committee.
“I was looking for a motif that would be easily recognized as Japanese,” designer Sakiko Matsumoto told reporters. “Athletes are people who can influence the world…and when you think of the games, the pivot will be the athletes.”
Public prosecutors demanded a prison term of seven years on Thursday for a 90-year-old former senior Japanese government official over a high-profile fatal runaway car accident in Tokyo in 2019.
The move is seen as a major step toward enabling the procedure, in which women without a uterus receive the organ from donors for the purpose of conceiving and giving birth. Research on the procedure has been conducted at Keio University and other institutions in Japan.
