Body of Dead High School Girl Shows Many Stab Wounds

Stab wounds are concentrated on the upper body of 16 year old Tokyo high school girl, Waka Kato, who was found dead in a house in Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture, two days ago, police sources said Wednesday. According to the police, an autopsy found that Kato died of hemorrhagic shock on Sunday or so. Many stab wounds and slashes on the back of her upper body, notably above the shoulders, suggest the possibility that she was attacked from behind, people familiar with the autopsy results said.

Three Aichi organizations submit requests to provide relief for people with disabilities over excessive food costs

Three organizations representing people with disabilities in Aichi Prefecture have submitted a written request to the prefectural government and the city of Nagoya demanding that the government take action in response to the issue of the Megumi Corporation (Tokyo), a welfare company that operates facilities for people with disabilities nationwide, overcharging its users for foodstuffs.

Reported abuse of disabled people in Aichi prefecture rose to 560 in 2017

“There were 100 physical instances such as violence in descending order of abuse, 54 psychological cruelty such as verbal abuse, economic abuse of using and managing property without the consent of the person himself / herself There were 48 cases, abandonment of nursing care 16 cases, sexual abuse 11 cases. Seventy-five of the victims had intellectual disabilities, sixty mental disorders, 45 physical disabilities, and four developmental disorders.”
