Aomori City Mayor instructs vaccination be fast-tracked at facilities for people with disabilities

The mayor of Aomori City, Akihiko Onodera, has instructed that vaccinations facilities for people with disabilities and child welfare facilities be expedited in parallel with vaccinations for elderly people's facilities.

AOMORI – The mayor of Aomori City, Akihiko Onodera, has instructed that vaccinations facilities for people with disabilities and child welfare facilities be expedited in parallel with vaccinations for elderly people’s facilities.

In light of the cluster outbreaks at facilities for the disabled and child welfare facilities in Aomori City, Mayor Onodera has instructed that “from the 10th, vaccinations will be sequentially administered to those involved at facilities for the disabled and child welfare facilities,” that “measures to prevent infection will be taken at approximately 800 restaurants in areas where shortened business hours are requested, and that the city’s regional outpatient consultation centers will be set up. In addition, Aomori citizens were asked to take measures to prevent the spread of the disease in restaurants.

Aomori citizens were also reminded to be careful when using restaurants.
