90 Pct of Children of Jehovah’s Witnesses Followers Whipped, Survey Shows

About 90 pct of children of followers of the Jehovah’s Witnesses religious organization have been whipped by their parents, a survey has found.

The survey, conducted by a group of lawyers who support victims of the cult, also found that some 80 pct of children of Jehovah’s Witnesses followers had carried a card indicating the holder’s intention to refuse blood transfusions.

Many Second-generation Jehovah’s Witnesses In Japan Experienced Abuse By Their Parents, Lawyer Alleges

On November 20th, a defense team supporting former members of the religious group Jehovah’s Witnesses held a press conference and stated that many second-generation parents who were raised by believer parents have experienced abuse from their parents.

The results of the survey have been published. The defense team is requesting that laws and regulations regarding abuse by religious groups be considered.

The results showed that 81% of those who cooperated with the survey said they had a card indicating their intention to refuse blood transfusions.

Megumi, which is headquartered in Minato Ward, Tokyo and operates group homes for the disabled in various locations, is under investigation by the local government for allegedly overcharging users for food and improperly claiming compensation for welfare services for the disabled. The Aichi branch of Kyosaren, a group of organizations that support people with disabilities, and others have set up an online consultation service to address the concerns of users and families of the facilities operated by Megumi.

A 37-year-old employee at a prefectural support facility for people with disabilities in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a male user, causing serious injuries that left his leg cracked.

According to the police, at around 2:20 p.m. on November 2nd, a 29-year-old male user was pushed to the ground in the hallway of the facility, causing serious injuries that included a crack in the thigh bone of his right leg.
