COVID Clusters found at three welfare facilities for people with disabilities in Shimane Prefecture

Five people were found to be infected at a welfare facility for the disabled in the jurisdiction of the Masuda Public Health Center, 10 at a welfare facility for the elderly in Izumo City, and 10 at a welfare facility for the elderly in the jurisdiction of the Hamada Public Health Center.

SHIMANE – Shimane Prefecture announced that three new cluster outbreaks were confirmed on December 31st 2022

Five people were found to be infected at a welfare facility for the disabled in the jurisdiction of the Masuda Public Health Center, 10 at a welfare facility for the elderly in Izumo City, and 10 at a welfare facility for the elderly in the jurisdiction of the Hamada Public Health Center.

The number of outbreaks in the prefecture now totals 940 cases.
