Exhibition at Okayama Municipal central library aims to increase understanding of autism and other developmental disorders

At the Okayama municipal central library (Kita-ku Nikkaichi-cho),exhibition “Deepen knowing, connect with blue, connect with blue.- Do you know about autism and developmental disorders?” To deepen understanding of autism and developmental disorders It is open. Up to 30 days.

A special corner was set up on the first floor and about 80 books related to the library held by the same museum were exhibited. Books summarizing features of autism such as “give priority to their own way and pace” and books of child rearing etc, and essays that the authors diagnosed as Asperger syndrome in their thirties talked about their own troubles and therapies . In cooperation with NPO corporation autistic autistic association, leaflet for enlightenment is also put.

A woman (65) who visited the same museum said, “I feel that interest in autism and developmental disorders is increasing in society as a whole, I hope the exhibition will lead to a better understanding.”

10 am – 6 pm (Thursday is 11 am – 7 pm). Closed on Mondays.
