Five people confirmed as infected with COVID & cluster announced at Tochigi facility for people with disabilities

Five people were found to be infected at a facility for the disabled in Sakura City by 16 April, which the prefecture judged to be a cluster.

TOCHIGI – Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya City announced on 16 April that 552 new coronavirus infections have been newly confirmed. The total number of confirmed cases of infection in the prefecture is now 72,646.

Five people were found to be infected at a facility for the disabled in Sakura City by 16 April, which the prefecture judged to be a cluster.

Newly infected persons by place of residence are as follows.

– Announced on 16 (552 people)

184 in Utsunomiya City, 57 in Oyama City, 48 in Nasu Shiobara City, 3 in Ashikaga City 6, Sano City and Moka City 33 each, Nikko City 23, Tochigi City 22, Kanuma City 2 1 person, Otawara City 20 people, Yaita City and Mibu Town 15 people each, Sakura City 10 people, Nogi Town 8; Takanezawa Town, 7; Shimono City and Nasu Town, 5 each; Shioya Town, 3; Nasu-Karasuyama City, Kamimikawa Town, Mashiko Town, Ichigai Town and Haga Town, 1 each; outside the prefecture, 2.
