The coronavirus vaccine rollout in Japan has been focusing on senior citizens. But recently there are growing calls for childcare givers to be offered priority inoculations. That’s in part due to the emergence of virus variants appearing to put children at greater risk of infection than before – making daycares a potentially dangerous hot spot.
