YOKOYAMA – Yokohama City announced on September 10th that 66 men and women between the ages of 10 and 90 have been newly confirmed as infected with the new coronavirus. Three users and five staff members are newly infected at a facility for the disabled operated by the social welfare corporation “Shirane Gakuen” where a cluster has occurred. It is reported that the city has set up a support countermeasures headquarters in related departments and wards to check the health of users 24 hours a day.
According to the city, the total number of infected people related to the facility is now 59.
The symptoms of 66 people were all mild or asymptomatic. It is said that the infection route of 25 people is unknown.
By age group, 13 people were in their 70s, the most. 11 people in their 20s, 9 people in their 30s and 40s, 8 people in their 50s and 60s, 4 people under the age of 10, 2 people in their 80s, and 1 person in their 10s and 90s.
Of the 41 people whose routes are known, 16 are said to be domestically infected.
