Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture announced on 14th that when calculating the employment rate of persons with disabilities, it did not include part-time staff , so it did not reach 2.5% of the statutory amount.
Akashi City interpreted the term “regular workers” as meaning full-time regular employees and reported that the employment rate as of June 1st was 2.89%. Meanwhile, the Hyogo Labor Bureau has notified the definition of permanent workers this month as “those who work more than a year from recruitment”.
