Five COVID clusters found at welfare homes and schools for the elderly, children and people with disabilities in Shimane Prefecture

A total of five clusters have occurred at welfare facilities and schools for the elderly, children and people with disabilities in Shimane Prefecture.

SHIMANE – Shimane Prefecture announced on 24 December that it had confirmed five new cluster outbreaks.

14 cases were identified at a welfare facility for the elderly in Matsue City, 13 cases at a school in Izumo City, 16 cases at a child welfare facility in Izumo City, 14 cases at a welfare facility for the elderly in the jurisdiction of the Unnan Public Health Centre and 8 cases at a welfare facility for the disabled in the jurisdiction of the Hamada Public Health Centre.

A total of five clusters have occurred at welfare facilities and schools for the elderly, children and people with disabilities in Shimane Prefecture.

The total number of clusters occurring in the prefecture has reached 910 cases.
