2,297 people infected with COVID-19 in Saitama, cluster found at facilities for people with disabilities

a total of 23 residents and staff at facilities for the disabled were found to be positive, resulting in a new cluster. The cluster, which had been confirmed in eight places, including medical institutions, schools and elderly care facilities, also expanded.

SAITAMA – On April 24th 2,297 new cases of the new coronavirus were discovered in Saitama Prefecture. This is the tenth consecutive day that the number of new infections has been below the same day of the previous week.

According to the prefecture, a total of 23 residents and staff at facilities for the disabled were found to be positive, resulting in a new cluster.  The cluster, which had been confirmed in eight places, including medical institutions, schools and elderly care facilities, also expanded.
