TOKYO – NHK reports that in March 5th, a woman in her 50s was found bleeding and lying down in a room in an apartment in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, after which she was confirmed dead. The Metropolitan Police Department plans to arrest a man on suspicion of murder as soon as the charges are settled, as a man who is her care worker has admitted to stabbing the woman with a knife.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, at around 11:00 am on the 5th, there was a report that “an acquaintance said that he had killed a person” at an apartment in Ebara, Shinagawa-ku.
When police officers rushed to the scene, a woman in her 50s living in a room was found bleeding and lying down in one room of the condominium, and was confirmed dead at the hospital where she was transported.
Two bloody knives were found in the kitchen of the room, and when the Metropolitan Police Department asked whether an acquaintance of the person who reported the situation, he admitted that he had stabbed the woman with a knife.
The acquaintance was a long-term care worker in his 50s, and the victim woman had a physical disability, and the man was in charge of her long-term care.
The Metropolitan Police Department plans to arrest him on suspicion of murder as soon as the charges are settled.
