Director and instructor at Kobe day care centre arrested for assaulting junior high school student with a disability

KOBE – Kita Ward in Kobe City said that a disabled junior high school student (14) was being abused at a day-service facility in from May to June.

Kobe Kita Police Station announced on the September 7 that they had arrested two suspects for assault, the facility director. (45) and a child instructor (51) in Hyogo Ward, Kobe.

They deny the charges the facility director saying , “I don’t remember clearly,” the instructor said “I didn’t use violence.”

The facility director is suspected of hitting the cheeks of a female junior high school student with both hands at the facility several times around 9:20 am on June 25. The instructor is suspected of kicking the foot of the student at the facility around 4:10 pm on May 14.
