Saga announced the employment rate of persons with disabilities in FY2019 (as of June 1) on the 22nd. The governor’s department was 2.31%, unchanged from the previous year, and the prefectural board of education was 2.16%, an increase of 0.07 points, and the legal employment rate (governor department 2.5%, It was less than prefectural board of education (2.4%). The prefectural police headquarters increased by 0.5 points at 2.22% and achieved the legal employment rate because the number of shortages became zero.
According to the Prefectural Personnel Division, the number of disabled persons, including 3499 employees, including the degree of disability, was 81, and the employment rate was 2.31%. The shortage was 6 people, the same as the previous year. The prefectural board of education has 162 persons with disabilities compared to 7,500 employees, and 18 persons are short. The prefectural police headquarters met 7 legally employed persons with disabilities, with 7 out of 316 office workers excluding police officers.
The prefecture expanded the degree of disability and age range from the recruitment examination conducted in FY2006, and conducted tests that allowed residents outside the prefecture to take the examination. From the 2007 examination, the subjects that were limited to the physically disabled were expanded to those with intellectual disabilities and those with mental disabilities.
In the Governor’s Department, nine people were hired in the tests conducted by November, of which seven were mentally disabled. The possibility of achieving the statutory employment rate is increasing next year, and the Human Resources Division says “I want to set up a support system with a dedicated consultant.”
