A demonstration of a new system that guides visually impaired people using the sound of smartphones at the premises of a Tokyo metro station was conducted.
The demonstration was conducted on the Yurakucho Line at· Tatsumi Station. The new system cam tell the user directions and distances by voice.
“I can certainly walk to the destination and the bends I have to take is known ahead of time” said a man who participated in the experiment.
Based on the opinion of the person who used it at Tokyo Metro, we are considering whether to make practical use.
