Regarding the wooden restoration of the castle tower of Nagoya castle, Aichi Unified clarified the policy to cooperate with the disabled people’s activities seeking to install an elevator at the new castle tower during the restoration.
Yoshihiro Umeda, Deputy Secretary-General attended the establishment meeting held in Nagoya city, “Executive Committee to Realize the Installation of Elevator at Nagoya Castle Wooden Tenpyo” held by disabled groups and others, reported to the press “Acting in the direction of attaching elevator I will go. ”
According to the Deputy Secretary-General, Aichi Unified, Nagoya city’s policy not to install an elevator is said to be “discrimination against not only elderly people but also children as elderly people and children will not enter the castle tower,” and so I decided to support the demands of disabled people.
