On the 28th, Nagoya City Council visited Nagoya castle tower to rebuild the wooden structure, and opened a meeting with the disabled group at the city hall over the barrier – free measures. Mayor Takashi Kawamura, aiming for restoration faithful to historical facts, reaffirmed the lack of elevators, whereas people with disabilities reported that “There is no concrete alternative proposal and I can not convince them, I can not accept them.” .
Mayor Kawamura visited the Agency for Cultural Affairs near the regular press conference on the same day and presented an idea to explain wooden restoration project. The Aichi Disability Forum, a group of people with disabilities, has submitted a request for reexamination of the project to the agency on 17th.
