On the 24th April, Nagoya city asked opinions from experts about the barrier-free ideas concerning the castle tower of Nagoya castle which will proceed wooden restoration.
There were voices calling for an installation of an elevator fro disabled people groups and welfare experts. From the architectural experts, the opinion that “balance between faithful historical restoration and barrier free is necessary” came out. The mayor, Takashi Kawamura has repeated negative views on the establishment, but the city plans to draw a conclusion in May.
