Two Arrested Over Alleged Assault of 17-Year-Old at Aichi Disability Home

Two male staff members in their 20s have been arrested for allegedly assaulting a 17-year-old male resident at a facility for people with disabilities in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, including kicking him in the face. Both suspects have admitted to the allegations, and police are investigating the circumstances and motives that led to the incident.

Okazaki City, Aichi Pref – Two male staff members in their 20s have been arrested for allegedly assaulting a 17-year-old male resident at a facility for people with disabilities in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, including kicking him in the face.

The two suspects, Reiki Miyake (20) and Takuto Tsuzuki (21), both residents of Okazaki City, were arrested.

The pair are suspected of assaulting the 17-year-old male resident (at the time) by kicking him in the face and committing other acts of violence at the disability facility in Okazaki City where they worked on the 27th of last month.

According to police, the incident came to light on the afternoon of the 18th after a staff member from a child consultation center reported that “staff members were assaulting a resident inside a group home for people with disabilities.”

The male victim (17 at the time) had been using the facility since last December, and police said they had not previously received any reports or consultations regarding abuse or assault.

Both suspects have admitted to the allegations, and police are investigating the circumstances and motives that led to the incident.
