TOTTORI – The average monthly wage at welfare service facilities for persons with disabilities in Tottori Prefecture exceeded 20,378 Yen for the first time last fiscal year, according to a prefectural government report.
Tottori Prefecture examined the number of people with disabilities working and their wages as of the end of last fiscal year at 142 service establishments in the prefecture that provide continuous employment support type B services to people with disabilities who have difficulty finding employment.
The average monthly wage was 20,378 Yen, an increase of 581 Yen from the previous fiscal year, exceeding 20,000 Yen for the first time.
The Tottori Prefectural Government’s Disability Welfare Division commented, “I think this is the result of sales efforts by business establishments to expand sales channels and develop new products. The prefectural government will also provide support to further increase wages.
