JAPAN – Daisuke Tenbata, who has been a member of the House of Councillors and a member of the Reiwa Shinsengumi party since being elected in July 2022, tweeted on December 19th that he has recovered from COVID after his staff tweeted that he had been infected on December 10th.

Tweeting in a person capacity, Tenbata stated that: “ After finishing the corona treatment period, I’m returning to work little by little. I understand your concern. I am recovering well with no after effects. I had no appetite during the convalescence and ice cream helped me…”
Tenbata expressed frustration that he could not attend the last day of the extraordinary session of the Diet, the Japanese Parliament:
“I was very frustrated that I could not attend the Diet on the last day of the extraordinary session of the Diet. I would like to thoroughly prepare for the ordinary session of the Diet.”
