Japanese politician with multiple disabilities tests positive for COVID, recovering at home

Daisuke Tenbata, who has been a member of the House of Councillors and a member of the Reiwa Shinsengumi party since being elected in July 2022, has tested positive for COVID-19.

JAPAN – Daisuke Tenbata, who has been a member of the House of Councillors and a member of the Reiwa Shinsengumi party since being elected in July 2022, has tested positive for COVID-19. On December 10th his staff tweeted that he was:

In October 2022, Tenbata asked Prime Minister Kishida questions regarding policies for persons with disabilities, which Tenbata regarded as “paternalistic.”
