Disability News Japan Podcast: Japanese politician with multiple disabilities tests positive for COVID, recovering at home

Daisuke Tenbata, who has been a member of the House of Councillors and a member of the Reiwa Shinsengumi party since being elected in July 2022, tested positive for COVID-19 on December 10th.

Correction In the podcast recording it was said that Daisuke Tenbata was a member of the Japanese government. Tenbata is not a member of the ruling party in Japan , but he is a member of the Japanese Diet or Parliament.
