The NHK drama ‘High Speed Parahero Gandeen’ depicts a wheelchair using para athlete who is also a superhero.
The main character, Taishi Morimiya is a high school student who aims to be a top athlete para-athlete, supported by childhood friends.

Then one day, a handsome alien falls from the sky. In addition, a monster and a mysterious alien appears. At that moment, a crystal given by the handsome alien starts to emit light and envelops Taishi’s body. Covered with special protection, Taishi now fights monsters.

NHK announced ‘High Speed Parahero Gandine’ as an “unprecedented drama that combines para-sports and full-scale special effects.”
It began airing on NHK from June 26 2021 and will conclude on July 10th 2021.
