The trial of a man accused of killing 19 people and injuring others at the Tsukui Lily Garden care home in Sagamihara City on July 26th 2016, continued on January 20h at the Yokohama District Court.
Satoshi Uematsu, aged 30, has pleaded not guilty to killing 19 residents and injuring dozens more at the facility. His defense team is arguing that he cannot be held responsible for the killings due to his cannabis use.
Lawyers read the testimony given by friends of the defandant who stipulate that he “started saying ‘kill the disabled’ six months before the incident.”
