TOKYO – Actor Noburo Takachi (61) updated his account on X by the 11th, expressing his personal views regarding some public reactions to the arrest of a mother suspected of killing her daughter with a disability.
Referring to “the case in which a mother killed her daughter with a severe disability,” Takachi mentioned the incident that occurred in Mobara, Chiba Prefecture. He noted that many opinions online say “the mother cannot be blamed,” creating an atmosphere suggesting it was unavoidable, referring to comments circulating on social media about the suspect.

“I find that frightening,” he wrote.
He added, “If a healthy person had been killed, the atmosphere would never become like this. I feel there is discrimination between lives.”
Takachi also wrote that “the most painful thing is the current situation in Japan, where it is difficult to find places to entrust the care of children with severe disabilities.”
