National Meeting on “Inclusive Education” for Children with and without Disabilities Held in Hokkaido

A national meeting to discuss “inclusive education,” where children learn together regardless of disabilities, was held in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido on October 5th and 6th. Children with disabilities and their guardians shared their experiences and talked about necessary considerations for entrance examinations and school life.

Asahikawa City, Hokkaido – A national meeting to discuss “inclusive education,” where children learn together regardless of disabilities, was held in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido on October 5th and 6th.

Children with disabilities and their guardians shared their experiences and talked about necessary considerations for entrance examinations and school life.

Kazuki Hirata, who studied in a regular junior high school class despite having autism and intellectual disabilities, and his former classmates shared the importance of learning together.

Kazuki is so interesting,” said a former classmate, ”I could get to know Kazu by being in the same class with him.”
