Kawasaki City – “Seamless Buddy,” a system that makes it possible to visualize the abilities of people with disabilities, is attracting attention. In March of this year, the system was recognized, and Yoko Takahashi (50), the representative of Danway (Nakahara Ward, Kawasaki City), which developed it, was selected for the “Kawasaki Entrepreneur Excellence Award.”

Takahashi is excited about the future, saying, “If people can work using their areas of expertise, there will be more jobs.” “I’m happy that what I’ve done has been recognized.”

“Seamless Buddy”, which was released three years ago, is a system that helps people understand concepts such as colors and numbers and find alternative ways to obtain information. By using it, the “reasonable consideration” for people with disabilities, which the government has made mandatory for businesses, can be made more concrete and clear. As strengths and weaknesses in computer skills and light work are quantified, it is expected to contribute not only to improving productivity but also to the growth of the company as a whole.
