KUMAMOTO – An office that provides after-school day care services for children with disabilities has been subject to administrative sanctions for falsifying support plans for the children.
Banana Land, a designated support facility for disabled children located in Ueki-cho, Kita-ku, Kumamoto City, has been suspended from accepting new children for six months.
According to Kumamoto City, Banana Land had falsified dates and other information about the support plan for nine children, even though the period required for review had passed.
Additionally, although parents are supposed to check the documents and affix their seals on them, the staff members purchased the seals and affixed them without permission.
The irregularities were revealed during a regular facility inspection conducted by Kumamoto City.
Approximately three employees were involved in the falsification
