TOKYO – The Global Innovation Challenge Executive Committee (GIC) based in Tokyo will hold a “Living Assistance Robot Contest” in 2023 at the “GIC Tsukuba Innovation Center” in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, providing total prize money of USD1,000,000.
The contest is to be held in May through June 2023. According to the Global Innovation Challenge website:
“The purpose of this contest is to support researchers and developers from around the world in their efforts to develop innovative tools that will enable wheelchair-bound people with lower limb paralysis or other disabilities to walk independently, using their remaining functions, without the assistance of caregivers.”
