The House of Councilors announced on the 24th that Reiwa Shinsengumi member Eiko Kimura was infected with the new coronavirus. Ms. Kimura has cerebral palsy.

The House of Councilors announced on February 24th that Reiwa Shinsengumi member Eiko Kimura was infected with the new coronavirus. Ms. Kimura has cerebral palsy.

Eiko Kimura made the following statement through her website:

“{A}s a result of a PCR test at a medical institution, it was found that Eiko Kimura was positive for the new coronavirus. She has been interviewed by health authorities today and her transmission route is under investigation. She is currently undergoing medical treatment at her home.”
