A 5.4 magnitude earthquake, registering Shindo 4, hit Western Japan and specifically the Kansai region at around 16:58 on Friday 2nd November 2018. The epicentre appears to have been Wakayama Prefecture, but was felt in nearby prefectures.
The earthquake does not appear to be too serious, there have not been any aftershocks in the region. I was in Kobe, Hyogo prefecture, where it disrupted the trains.
