Wheelchair using Idol, Tomoka Igari hopes “an understanding of people with disabilities deepens”

“Tomoka Igari, who uses a wheelchair since an accident in April, said she would like to contribute "I love you Fukui" as a prefectural performer that "an understanding of people with disabilities deepens".

Fukui Prefecture announced on 6th June that Tomoka Igari (26), of the Idol group “Masked Girls”, will appear in the opening ceremony of the National Disabled People Sports Festival to be held on October 13.

‘Masked Girls’ are a popular group known for hockey masks hiding their face. There was also a rim that was given a local specialty Echizen lacquer ware mask from Sabae city in the same province, and members went shoveling when the heavy snowfall in February.

Tomoka Igari, who uses a wheelchair since an accident in April, said she would like to contribute “I love you Fukui” as a prefectural performer that “an understanding of people with disabilities deepens”.
