TOKYO – On November 22nd, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced through a press release that it is offering 200 tickers for spectators who have visual impairments for free for the Paris Paralympic Qualifier IBSA Judo Grand Prix which is to be held on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th December 2023 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government website:
“IBSA Judo Grand Prix Tokyo 2023″, the qualifying round for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. This tournament is the second largest tournament after the Paralympics and the World Championships, attracting athletes from around 40 countries, and will be held for the first time in East Asia.
In Judo for the visually impaired, matches are always played out in a grappling position with the opponent, and one of the highlights is the tension and fast-paced tactics of the athletes, such as the rapid exchange of throwing techniques.
With the cooperation of the organizers, we would like to invite Tokyo residents to watch the game and take commemorative photos with the Japanese players. We look forward to receiving your applications so that you can take advantage of this opportunity to watch the show.”
Details about how to apply can be found on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government website and the decline for applications is November 30th at 23:59.
